Auction marketplace · Kosovo
Ankandi
A marketplace where the price is set by whoever wants the thing most.

The situation
Second-hand trading here happens in group chats. The price is whatever the loudest message says, there is no history behind a seller, and nobody knows who they are dealing with until the money is already changing hands.
What we did
An open auction answers all three at once: the bid is public, the clock is the same for everyone, and every account carries its own ratings. A seller picks an auction or a fixed price, a buyer bids or buys outright, and the two sides exchange contact details only once a sale closes.
Under the hood
Hand-written PHP on SQLite — here that is the right call rather than a compromise: the whole market is one file on disk, it needs no database server, and it runs on ordinary shared hosting. Bids settle against the server clock, not the browser's, so a slow connection cannot lose you an auction. The admin side is a full panel — listings, orders, users, categories, revenue, audit trail — behind a staff door that is a separate page from the one customers use.
